Deadline to Submit Financial Statem

On 22 July 2019, the Board of the Financial Regulatory Authority (“FRA”) decided to extend the deadline for listed companies and FRA-supervised companies and entities to submit their financial statements for the preceding financial period (which ended on 30 June 2019) to 25 August 2019.[1] It is worth noting that earlier this year, FRA published a statement on its website announcing that the regulator is now receiving periodic and annual financial statements through email in addition to the printed copy that is to be sent via the methods defined by law.[2] Although still to be published in the Egyptian Gazette, the deadline extension decision stated that it goes into effect one day following its issuance rather than its publication.   [1] FRA Board of Directors Decision No. 94/2019 extending the period for listed companies and FRA-supervised companies and entities to submit their financial statements, available through this link (in Arabic).
